Now a days films with 'A' certificate are getting more publicity and visibility. 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum', 'Raaz 3', 'Jism 2' and 'Gangs Of Wasseypur 2' would be certified as 'Adults only'.
Kareena Kapoor starrer, Madhur Bhandarkar's film "Heroine", has been given an 'A' certificate from the censor board.
Madhur Bhandarkar himself broke the news on Twitter.
"As expected got a "A" certificate from the censor board. Countdown begins for the launch of the poster & promo of #Heroine," Bhandarkar posted.
Madhur Bhandarkar asserts that Kareena Kapoor's performance in his latest project "Heroine" is not only fabulous, it will also be a shocker for her fans.
"Her character Mahi Arora is very contemporary, very edgy, very hard-hitting and very real like my other cinema. Kareena will definitely be a shock element to the people because of the way she has worked in the film," the 43-year-old producer-director earlier said.
Heroine is touted as Bhandarkar's expose of the film industry. It is being described as a voyeuristic disclosure of what really goes on behind the closed doors of make-up rooms and vanity vans.
The film is based on the life and times of a superstar heroine Mahi Arora, played by Kareena Kapoor.
Arjun Rampal is the leading hero of the film. Supporting roles are played by Randeep Hooda, Shahana Goswami, Divya Dutta and Helen.
Heroine is slated to release in September.
